UPDATE: March 23, 2012

After much consideration – and months of in-home testing and scrutinizing – I am convinced that e-cloth® offers a product that is equal in quality and performance to Norwex but is more reasonably priced. I still stand behind my review of the Norwex Mop, but the e-cloth® Deep Clean Mop performs just as well - and is of equally high quality - at a fraction of the price.

5 Stars for the Norwex Mop SystemIN A NUTSHELL:

My opinion of this mop goes up every time I use it. I’ve barely used my vacuum over the past year and find even when I do, the Norwex Mop picks up what it has left behind. Dog or not, this mop is worth the expense. It’s 5 stars for this baby!

Today’s challenge was renovation and drywall dust on our hardwood floors. If you’re renovating and unless you’re the woman I spoke to the other day (who said she was “renovating” her living room, but when I questioned her admitted she was only having the ceiling painted), you know the dust I speak of. Minute particles that sink into every crevice and create a dense coating over everything. A broom simply does not work on this kind of dust.

Thought I would nip the dust in the bud and pulled out the trusty vacuum. Thought I did a pretty good job… until the sun hit the floor. DRATS. Major dust. All over the floor. It was like I hadn’t even vacuumed (except a lot of dog hair was missing and I was tired).

So out comes the Norwex Mop. And I’m gonna let my “Black Glove Test” pictures do the talking. The first picture is a single swipe across the hardwood floor after vacuuming. The second is a single swipe in the same area after a pass with the Norwex Mop (and this is only with the dry mop).

Notice anything? Hmmm… like a total lack of dust on the second glove? OK, there’s some grime, but these are my every-day dog walking gloves so they’re just dirty to begin with.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty impressed. That darned Norwex Mop ROCKS!!!

Too bad I spent so much energy vacuuming. Otherwise I’d “mop” the walls and ceiling too, ’cause you KNOW they’re covered with the same dust.
