UPDATE: March 23, 2012

After much consideration – and months of in-home testing and scrutinizing – I am convinced that e-cloth® offers a product that is equal in quality and performance to Norwex but is more reasonably priced. I still stand behind my review of the Norwex Enviro cloth, but the e-cloth® General Purpose cloth performs just as well - and is of equally high quality - at a fraction of the price.

We’ve got a couple of wooden rocking chairs and a table on our front porch that collect a lot of dirt. Don’t ask me how. Guess this Cambridge air ain’t so clean.

I know what you’re thinking. Why use the Enviro Cloth when I could just use a bunch of old rags or paper towels? Well:

  1. I don’t need any soap or cleanser when I use the Enviro Cloth
  2. The Enviro Cloth picks up the dirt instead of smearing it around so the job gets done quicker
  3. There is no waste when I use the Enviro Cloth
  4. I have an Enviro Cloth, so why not use it?

In the past, I would have taken a bucket of soapy water and a couple of rags or a lot of paper towels out. This year, I tackled them with a damp Enviro Cloth . Nothing else. No extra water. No soap. No cleanser. It took me less than five minutes to clean them and it even picked all the “outdoors mold” that had accumulated on them.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t launder the cloth yet. Instead, I would rinse it with a dot of dish soap in the kitchen sink (which is what I did yesterday after cleaning the fridge). But I want to get that “outdoors mold” out so I’ll throw it in the washer.
