Hi Kate, I just started using Norwex products and was wondering if essential oils could be used with them. I am assuming that they would need to be rinsed and washed accordingly like normal, but when dealing with an oil, albeit in a small quantity as only drops are used, I am reluctant to, in any way, to compromise their cleaning ability…my oils have anti-bac, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties I would like to keep incorporating in my cleaning with these awesome cloths!! Any thoughts??—

    • Hi Heidi – If I were you, I would contact Norwex directly to ask this question because I don’t want to give you any misinformation that might void your warranty. But… here are my thoughts:
      1) Because the Norwex cloths have the silver in them, you should be careful to rinse them very well after using them with any oils because the oil will coat the silver and make it ineffective. Rinse in hot water with a bit of dish soap or detergent.
      2) If using any high quality brand of microfiber cloth (not just Norwex) with essential oils, make sure to rinse well afterwards with hot water and a bit of dish soap or detergent. The oils will coat the fibers, making them less effective and prone to the stinkies.
