30 Days of the Norwex Enviro Cloth – DAY 1 – INSIDE OF THE FRIDGE

UPDATE: March 23, 2012

After much consideration – and months of in-home testing and scrutinizing – I am convinced that e-cloth® offers a product that is equal in quality and performance to Norwex but is more reasonably priced. I still stand behind my review of the Norwex Enviro Cloth, but the e-cloth® General Purpose Cloth (and the new e-cloth® Antibacterial Cloth) performs just as well – and is of equally high quality – at a fraction of the price.

I don’t usually clean my fridge – too daunting – so I thought this would be a good place to start. I did a very thorough cleaning, including all shelves, drawers, door bins, and walls. Thanks to the cloth, I didn’t have to wash anything in the sink – just a quick wipe – and it even wiped up the pool of curry paste/syrup/oily goop that had oozed down the back wall and under the drawer. There was some jam that had hardened into candy that I needed to use a bit of the cleaning paste on, but otherwise the Enviro cloth cleaned up my fridge really well. Out of interest, I timed myself. 16 minutes 34 seconds.

The really great thing is that I didn’t have to take anything out of the fridge to clean it. I just moved everything to one side, cleaned where they were, wiped the bottoms of everything then moved them back.

NOTE: if you’re wiping up things that stain like curry paste, wash your cloth immediately afterward in a bit of dish soap.

My sparkling fridge

PS – our fridge isn’t usually so empty. Managed to get rid of a bit of stuff – including some sauces left behind by the people that lived here while we were in Texas 4 YEARS AGO. Yeah, as I said… I don’t often clean my fridge.
